Bush Furniture introduces new marketing and merchandising program at CES targeted at regional, national and independent retailers

December 29, 2003 - Bush Industries, Inc. (NYSE: BSH) Lead by innovative Bush President David White, this Top 20 furniture manufacturer's new executive team has chosen the 2004 CES as the venue to unveil its aggressive new marketing initiative.

Bush's new strategy features an enhanced pricing and merchandising program built around creative new product introductions.  An industry leading direct-ship delivery system is also being showcased.  Bush's total marketing and distribution program is designed to empower regional and independent retailers with a competitive, margin-boosting furniture program.

"Early indications from retail customers are excellent," said Jim Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising.  "Bush is coming to CES with strong momentum and pre-orders across the board.  We intend to be the supplier of choice for home entertainment furniture for any size retailer," he said.

Anchoring the Bush plan is a diverse array of consumer electronics furniture, introduced by Bush's design group under the direction of Joe Miller, Senior Vice President of Design & Development.  The CES introductions are designed to complement the technological advances in the consumer electronics industry, like flat panel TV's and redesigned audio/video components.

"Flat panel TVs are the wave of the future and we are in position to capitalize on it," continued Schmidt.  "However, most retailers are still selling a lot of conventional TVs.  The ability of most of our video bases to handle both conventional and flat panel TVs makes Bush Furniture versatile for both the retailer and the consumer."

Bush Industries will be exhibiting its latest, most innovative and tip-tested home entertainment furniture at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas between January 8 - 11, 2004.  Their new, Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired show space #18911 is  located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Ground Level.
