Bush Industries offers dynamic line of convergence furniture

Jamestown NY- As the line between the home computer and entertainment technology becomes blurred, the function of home office and entertainment furniture is also changing. Bush Industries is in prime position to capitalize on the convergence of office and entertainment technologies.

A leader in the development of home office and home entertainment furniture, Bush Industries is lock-step with the changes that are affecting our business and personal lives. Its product development strength, together with its creative merchandising programs, deliver the solutions that give retailers and consumers the advantage in this rapidly changing environment.

Two recent collections introduced by Bush, Laurel Court and Charlestown, include coordinating office and entertainment pieces. These and other collections available from Bush offer furnishing solutions for both modern and traditional homes. Consumers with networked computing and entertainment technology can mix and match the entertainment and office components that meet their specific needs. Consumers with more traditional configurations can bring a unifying element to their separate office and entertainment rooms.

"Home office and home entertainment pieces in one collection offer decorating, technological and retailing opportunities," said Jim Schmidt II, Bush's V. P. of Marketing & Merchandising. "Besides all the options that these collections give consumers to configure their technologies in the same or adjacent rooms, these collections are offering retailers new sales opportunities."

With the help of Bush's creative merchandising and direct ship programs, home entertainment retailers can up-sell home office furniture with little investment through creative POP materials. Added Schmidt, "And the electronics retailer that isn't even offering entertainment furniture has twice as much reason to look at Bush entertainment solutions."

Bush Industries has developed convergence-friendly furniture across the entire style spectrum. The recent 2004 New Technology Televisions and Furniture research report by the Consumer Electronics Association revealed that nearly three quarters (73%) of all TV owners prefer television furniture that matches the room's décor. From the traditional Charlestown to transitional Laurel Court to the urban contemporary Sonoma Collection, Bush has furniture styles to fit any décor. And for the 18% who prefer entertainment furniture that matches the TV, Bush's extensive OEM relationship with major TV manufacturers enables it to develop its proprietary line of video bases that compliment the latest TV designs.

Bush's expertise in entertainment also extends beyond the living room to the second most popular room for entertainment furniture: the bedroom. Its impressive bedroom groups marketed under its Eric Morgan brand of fully-assembled furniture include entertainment SKUs specific to the unique viewing environment of the bedroom. Whether it is the living room, bedroom, den or basement home theater, Bush Industries has the entertainment solutions for today's technology.

Bush will share it's latest home entertainment furniture, including two Pinnacle Design Award finalists, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas between January 6 - 9, 2005. Bush Furniture's show space is #25905 located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall 2, Ground Level.

Bush Industries, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of case goods and ready-to-assemble furniture for home and office, as well as a supplier of diverse surface technologies. The company is headquartered in Jamestown, New York, with operations in New York State, Pennsylvania, Mexico, China and Germany.
